The Town of Amherst Department of Information Technology (IT) provides custom application programming for department's throughout the town. A few examples include: Programming Scheduler (Recreation Department) Overtime Management System (Highway Department) Resident Notification (Assessor's Office/Town Clerk) Additional applications are being developed to help streamline daily work activities while maintaining control and maintenance over the applications as town department's needs evolve. Future applications will be developed in a web-based environment whenever appropriate. This platform will enable faster application production as well as reduced overhead related to licensing and installation costs.
