Landscapers must obtain a landscaper’s permit to do business in the Town of Amherst. The permit is valid January 1 through December 31 of each year. The fee is $35.00 for the first vehicle and $5.00 for each additional vehicle including trailers. It is necessary to provide the vehicle registration number(s) and sales tax number when obtaining a landscapers permit. Dump tickets can be purchased with this permit. A book of ten (10) dump tickets is $100.00.
