The primary purpose of the Plumbing Division of the Building Department is to:
- Issue plumbing permits
- Inspect plumbing systems both inside and outside of buildings
- Inspect grading of lots for storm drainage
- Inspect sanitary sewer connections in cooperation with Engineering Department
- Provide advice to homeowners, builders, architects, engineers and others on proper plumbing practices
