Did you know that your leaves can be picked up each garbage day?
When the leaf season starts on or around October 1st, each resident starts with small amounts of leaves that they collect and put out in front of their homes. If they are put in either a plastic garbage can or yard waste paper bag, the Compost truck will pick them up on your garbage day. Many residents don’t know this fact. Most residents rake their leaves out to the curb or into the street (which is illegal). If residents would follow the suggested guidelines it would help keep the streets safer and make our leaf collection more efficient. As a final note, we would like to have all leaves picked up by the end of November. |
