brighten your spring and summer including:
Classes run from April 28, 2014 through August 29, 2014.† Anyone 55 and older will find a wide array of interesting classes including Outdoor Painting & Sketching Workshop, Beginning Conversation French, Body Sculpt and Path to Healthy & Skillful Living.
Openings are still available for the Centerís popular Upholstery Class which starts on March 4 and runs 9 am Ė 12 noon for seven weeks. Click here for more information.

Elder Law Day Coming March 13
Legal Services for the Elderly, the New York State Bar Associationís Elder Law Section and the Bar Association of Erie Countyís Elder Law Committee will host an ELDER LAW Day at the Amherst Senior Center on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at 1:00 p.m..
This is an excellent opportunity for the public to discuss a legal issue with a lawyer particularly as it pertains to questions about Medicaid, probate, guardianship or powers of attorney and long term care planning.††
The event is free and open to the public but space is limited.† Please call Judy at 853-3087, ext. 213 to register†† Attend the Elder Law Seminar and pre-register for a free 15 minute consultation with a volunteer lawyer.†
Winter Safety Information
The Amherst Center for Senior Services standard operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. and Wednesday evening programs.† During stormy weather, if you want to know if Center activities or Amherst Meals on Wheels is canceled, please listen for “weather closing” announcements on these radio stations: WBEN-AM 930, WNED-FM 94.5, WKSE-FM 98.5 & WTSS-FM 102.5. TV stations: WGRRZ-TV Ch. 2, WIVB-TV Ch. 4 and WKBW-TV Ch. 7.†

Town of Amherst Residents
- May join the Senior Center for a one-time fee of $30.
- Two proofs of Amherst residency are required.
- May join the Senior Center for annual fee of $30.
- Must meet above age requirement.
