Coordinator Federal and State Aid Programs (Full Time)

Economic Development


Description of Duties

  • Studies and collects data on federal, state and private agency aid programs for their applicability to town or village government
  • Provides full information to municipal departments and agencies on available federal aid programs and assistance
  • Confers with municipal officials on aid programs to determine need for growth and development and to identify desirable programs to meet those needs
  • Assists public officials in preparation of applications for and submission of requests, follow through on approval and utilization stages
  • Promotes and cultivates close liaison with federal and state administrators, legislators, and other officials on aid programs 
  • Attends conferences and meetings with public and private groups on aid programs
  • Coordinates all aid programs for a unified approach to the solution of municipal problems, prevention of duplication, full utilization of staff and funds
  • Maintains appropriate records of aid programs; prepares periodic progress reports on programs

Qualifications

A) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered four year college or university with a bachelor's degree and four years of experience in a responsible management position in government; Or,

B) Satisfactory completion of two years of study at a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university and six years of experience in a responsible management position in government; Or,

C) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B).

Rate of Pay

$61,202-$84,926
