Mission Statement
The mission of the Design Advisory Board is to support the goals and objectives of the Comprehensive Plan and the implementation of the Zoning Code by promoting design excellence in Amherst.
Purpose:
The Design Advisory Board (DAB) supports the Planning Board/Director on matters related to building and site design for projects located within mixed-use zoning districts and other matters as referred. The DAB reviews proposed site plans for their application of the Town’s Design Guidelines within Mixed Use Districts and provides recommendations to the Planning Board/Director and other boards upon request.
