Documentary Review - "Thin"
“Thin” is a documentary which features four women in a treatment facility for eating disorders. Though they are classified as having “Anorexia,” the film dispels some of the stereotypes of the disorder, namely that it only affects young women who become emaciated. Only one of the four women is a teenager and others have body types that defy popular conceptions of what anorexic women look like. Still, these women have body image issues associated with a fear of gaining weight. This documentary is recommended for its comprehensiveness in explaining the disease and helping to dispel some myths about those who have it.
