Mission Statement

The Amherst Committee on Disabilities shall study and offer suggestions and recommendations to improve compliance of the Town of Amherst with the goals and objectives of the Federal Americans with Disabilities Act, as well as to consider any other issues relevant to and important to disabled town residents.

We're seeking volunteers to join our Committee!

The Committee on Disabilities is seeking residents who are interested in joining the Committee to help advocate for a more inclusive and accessible community. If you are dedicated to making a positive impact for individuals with disabilities in our Town, we would love to have you on board.

What We Do:
- Promote accessibility and inclusion in our community
- Work directly with the Town to offer feedback on accessibility
- Host events and provide resources to raise awareness

What We’re Looking For: - Individuals with a passion for disability advocacy
- Those who are committed to making our community more inclusive
- A mix of lived experiences, skills, and ideas to help strengthen our work

Please email a resume and brief letter of interest to
Committee Liaison - Councilmember, Angela Marinucci.
