2027 Assessment Equity Project
The beginning stages of the 2027 reassessment project are underway. The purpose of this project is to bring everyone to 100% full market value. It's important to remember this project will not raise tax dollars but is simply a way to ensure that everyone is paying their fair share of the tax levy, based on their value. Disclosure notices will be sent to property owners late February/early March of 2027. More information will be available on our website as this date approaches.
Questions regarding the Assessment Revaluation project or property assessments should be directed to the Town of Amherst Assessor's Office: (716) 631-7038 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Mon-Fri). Questions about property taxes should be directed to the Amherst Town Clerk / Tax Receiver: (716) 631-7021, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM (Mon-Fri).
