Amherst Implements its new Mixed-Use Districts In Snyder
On May 3, 2021 at 7:00PM the Town Board will conduct a remote public hearing for the rezoning of 35 parcels of land within with a designated planning area near the Main Street and Harlem Road intersection. The parcels are scheduled to be rezoned to the Town’s new mixed-use Traditional Infill 2.5 Zoning District. The new mixed-use regulations were adopted by the Town Board in September of 2019 after an extensive planning process.
The majority of the parcels affected within the planning area are currently zoned GB(General Business). The new mixed-use regulations will enable the Town to better regulate the design of buildings and their relationship with surrounding sites and neighborhoods, as well as encourage varied types of land uses.
The Town Board will be holding a remote public hearing using the Zoom meeting application for the Snyder mixed-use planning area. Resident/landowner notices have been mailed out to allow those affected to visit this project page for more information and/or dialogue with the Planning Department in advance of the remote hearing. Individuals are encouraged to view the power point presentation found in the hyperlink below to learn about the project and be introduced to the Town’s newly adopted mixed-use regulations.
Additionally, individuals are encouraged to reach out to the Planning Department using the feedback form on this project page. If you wish to contact the Planning Department by phone with your inquires you may call 716-631-7058. Inquiries’ may also be sent to:
