Royal Park Improvement Project

Overview

Royal Park is a 9-acre public park located at 187 West Royal Parkway. The Royal Park Improvement Project is focused on upgrading and increasing the variety of facilities available for use by Town residents and Daemen University Athletics. Park features to include a multi-use field built to meet NCAA Division 2 standards (approx. 100,000 SF) with a new field house building (appx. 3,300 SF [reduced from the initially proposed 7,200 SF building]) to include locker rooms, office, training room, storage space, concessions, public handicap accessible multi-use restrooms and family toilet room. The existing basketball court will be rehabilitated with new surfacing, striping and equipment. Project will add six (6) tennis courts; two (2) Pickleball courts; a splash pad; a shelter / picnic pavilion; and a walking path with provisions for future adult fitness trail. The existing inclusive playground constructed in 2018 will be relocated and include additional climber play equipment.
